Activity
Shyh ry works to promote equality and equity in society. The association aims to create safer spaces and support cultural changes to reduce harassment and discrimination. Our focus areas include harassment contact person activities and participatory pop-up activities, through which we implement safer space principles in practice and help communities build inclusive environments.
Harassment Contact Person Activities
Harassment contact person activities involve proactive equality work to prevent harassment and discrimination at various events and within communities. Volunteers trained by Shyh ry are present at events to support participants’ safety, listen to concerns, and address harassment situations. Currently, harassment contact person activities often rely on the expertise of individual volunteers, which can result in inconsistent quality and expose the volunteers to risks. The association aims to establish uniform operating models to ensure consistent quality, increase effectiveness, and prevent potential misuse. Harassment contact persons collaborate with event organizers and, when necessary, guide individuals to additional support services.
Pop-Up Activities
Through pop-up activities, the association’s volunteers participate in events by organizing activities and workshops that promote an understanding of safer space principles. Pop-up activities highlight the association’s values and offer participants the opportunity to explore the principles of equality and safety in a hands-on and practical way.
